YOGA, Tamara has been teaching since 2009. Completed YTT at Asheville Yoga Center in NC 2009. She began practicing yoga in 2005, was a classically trained dancer for 17 years and has skated since age 2. Each practice has continually informed the others, culminating in expert skill in safely training alignment, flexibility, strength, balance and flow.
You will be brought through a practice tailored to your specific needs and intentions with focus on physical alignment, while utilizing the breath, gravity and radical trust to bring you into a deepened sense of well-being, gratitude, delight and connection to your highest wisdom aspects. Each session begins with meditation and internally set intentions. Sessions end with svasana and a short closing sequence.
QI GONG, Tamara has been teaching since 2006. She began her practice in 2003 and was trained in China at KunYuMountain Academy in 2006.
One of several foundational techniques will be concentrated upon for several or more sessions with practice expected in between. The technique will be decided upon based on the student's needs and intentions. Qi Gong is a life force energy practice that's been used by healers and warriors for over 5000 years in China. Well cultivated and regulated Qi (life force energy) is the mystical power behind the "karate chop" that breaks a brick without harm to the Practitioner, the mystical power of hands on and remote healing, and much more. One is a beginner to Qi Gong for many years. After 10 years of practice one may reach an Intermediate level of experience, understanding, and cultivation of skill. Whether you come for one session or for many you will walk away from each session with a QiGong practice that you can do safely and powerfully on your own.
MEDITATION, Tamara has been meditating since early childhood. INTERNAL ALCHEMY meditation is an intuitive life-force-energy practice that Tamara has been utilizing and teaching since 1986. Basically, It's practiced to balance, clear, unify, strengthen & uplift mind-body-spirit. While it is TECHNICALLY Qi Gong = Life Fore Energy Practice, it is not of Chinese lineage, and is not to be confused with 5000 year old practice, Nei Gong. This Internal Alchemy is rather an intuitively granted practice that Tamara began receiving as a child outside of Detroit Mi in the 80s, a time and place where only the tangible was considered valid. Tamara utilized the work to heal of severe chronic illness and broken bones with out meds, surgery or pain killers.. Internal Alchemy is strung subtly through all of Tamara's teachings and practices. It's taught as primary focus to those who are seeking to open the powerful mystery school within and whom are willing to do the internal work and practice on their own. It is a way of SelfActualization and deepened conscious connection to Source. She is also practiced in various Taoist and Yogic meditation styles as well as Tibetan Buddhist Tonglan, Burmise Buddhist Vipassana, and rudimentarily in Zen Buddhist Zazen. These traditional practices are also invaluable tools, that can utilized throughout life. Students are lead through and eventually gain proficiency in the meditative style(s) that best address his/her/hir current undergoings and intentions.
